MEET OUR SUMMER COVER DOG: CALI THE GREYHOUND
By Tara | Loon Point Beach, CA
Cali the Greyhound makes her first visit to the beach for our Summer photo shoot.
Cali was born on November 30th, 2013. She began her racing career at Florida’s Ebro and Sarasota tracks where she was known as “XT’s Excalibur.” From there she transferred to Tucson, Arizona and then on to Caliente, Mexico. After breaking her hind leg in July of 2016, Cali retired from the track and started her road to recovery.
Like any trip, weather plays a key role in the packing process. Luckily, Santa Barbara’s weather is temperate all year round, but don’t let that fool you. It can still get quite chilly when the marine layer rolls in. And when visiting in the Summer, be aware of the notorious June gloom.
